Donovan’s 21 seniors were accepted to over 40 colleges inculding UGA, Emory, Mercer, Wake Forest, Cardinal Stritch, and University of Wyoming.

AP Courses
Donovan is the only high school in Clarke County in 2019-2020 to offer the new AP Capstone course bringing our total of AP course offerings to 11.
The Donovan Difference
88% of Donovan applicants were accepted to the University of Georgia.
62% of the Class of 2019 qualified for the Zell Miller or HOPE Scholarship.
Donovan now offers school-day testing for the ACT and SAT ensuring that students are prepared for the college admissions process.
For two consecutive years, a Donovan junior has been accepted to Stanford University‘s Junior State of America Foundation program titled JSA Summer School. JSA Summer School is a milestone achievement for students interested in politics and government.
The Class of 2020 participated in Donovan’s annual Junior Class College Tour in September 2018. They visited the campuses of: Emmanuel College, Clemson University, Furman University, Queens University of Charlotte, Elon University, Duke University, Wake Forest University, and High Point University.

Volunteers
55 juniors, seniors, and teachers broke the record at Athens Area Homeless Shelter for most volunteers at one time during our service project in March
The Donovan community partnered with Athens Area Homeless Shelter in March 2019. During this schoolwide service project, students cleaned and prepared units for new residents at the ARCH Shelter. Additionally, Donovan hosted a successful cleaning supply drive to create “Going Home Kits” for shelter residents.
To Radiate the Lord
We congratulate Father Gregory Tipton, theology teacher and school chaplain, who was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in June 2019.
Our focus on service will continue in the 2019-2020 year with our annual Operation Christmas Child Drive and the addition of a Day of Service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Arts
Fine Arts Programs
Monsignor Donovan Catholic High School has a wide range of fine arts offerings including The One Act Play, Donovan Singers, Ram Band, Dance, Art, and Drama.
The Fine Arts Showcase hosted during fall semester highlighted the talents of our Drama students, Donovan Singers, Ram Band, R-Blu Dance Crew, Visual Art students, and soloists. The One Act team performed “This is a Test” by Stephen Gregg and later earned 4th place at GISA Region Competition. The Donovan Singers earned 4th place at Spring Literary in girls trio.
